Something on the strangeness of bodies and politics and bodies politic, in anticipation of a long essay on the strangeness of bodies and politics and bodies politic
Apologies for the dearth of posting. I’ve been gestating a humdinger on the subject of political assassinations, and it’s proven a difficult pregancy. Read this in the interim, as a companion piece to this New Yorker article on Linda McMahon’s reign as Donald Trump’s Secretary of State Education. So good, my rave only made it to the Undecrard!
My blurb:
“Ringmaster is riveting, essential reading even if, like me, you have no taste for professional wrestling. All you need is an appetite for good stories of how the best—which is to say the worst—hustlers get over. Follow Abraham Riesman through that looking glass, and you even may creep closer to understanding how the U.S. managed to make one president.”
