This one's for my Baby Boomers
“An exemplary biography, not just of a single American genius, but of that part of the baby boom generation that never stopped struggling to make the world better than they found it.”
Backstory: when I began work on my book The Invisible Bridge, I did a Doonesbury outline, reading through every strip from the period of the book. I remembered them all, having stolen all my big brother’s paperback volumes for my own edification during high school. Yes, I was reading, in the mid-1980s, political cartoons from the early 1970s, as my teenage recreation. Really, I was always bound for this work.

You certainly are! I’m not an American but I’ve read all your books and I love them! A great mixture of history and the minutiae of electoral politics. I know it’s niche, but I like it!
Ah, now we who were there when it was happening know how it is you write like one of us. :-)
